Curry

Curry is a combination of spices that may have  five all the way to fifty. The word curry is derived from the original south Indian kari, meaning “sauce”. At Indian meals there are several curries served with the dishes. The color of the curries are similar though because they each contain  amounts of turmeric.

Curry promotes perspiration, which is like a natural air conditioner, that cools the body as the moisture evaporates from the skin. It is strong in smell and flavor and it is helpful in clearing head when one has a head cold. It is high in antioxidants that are very helpful in eliminating free radicals. Curries can also detoxify the body and help in the aid of reducing cholesterol.

Curries are used in many different Indian dishes. Some are very hot to moderate to sweet. It is fun to prepare your own with a combination of turmeric, fenugreek, cinnamon, ginger, cardamon, coriander, black pepper, cumin.
